Does anyone remember this woman?
……no you’re eyes do not deceive you. This is Sue Johanson, the host of Talk Sex with Sue Johanson - a show that used to come on Oxygen late on Sunday nights. Legit, this woman was my hero some years ago. I used to stay up late just to watch her show. I always thought the questions people called in were really interesting and it cracked me up when she’d pull out the wooden...

On Self Care: The Physical
yourlastconfession:
As a dancer, caring for yourself is vital; when the product being sold is yourself, the condition of that product is of the utmost importance. This series will explore the ways in which a dancer can (and should) care for themselves, and the reasons such care is necessary.

strippr:
I swear if I ever have to go through the dating process again (and I hope I don’t), I’m handing this out to all prospective dates. It’s my version, so surely it doesn’t represent all (or even most) dancers, of course. I’m seriously considering giving this to the significant other…
hands down, one of the best lists I’ve seen on tumblr
Obs: Misconception$.
avaadore:
Sometimes the stereotypes we fight are not strictly personal. And sometimes they’re not only outside the club. One of the stereotypes that’s got me thinking a lot lately is the “lucrative stereotype” and how it can really bite you in the ass.
Imagine you’re sitting with a client and instead of the myriad douchebag excuses he gives about why he isn’t getting a dance, he instead pins it...
Anonymous asked: Did you go to a few strip clubs as a customer or work at the bar before you started to strip? To get an idea of everything?
Eureka!
Okay, it took some time and i’m not sure if its the same for other people, but for whatever reason I cannot answer questions privately if they’re sent anonymously. I have the ‘answer privately’ option for people who don’t choose to ask anonymously. Is this the same for everyone else? I’m still learning things about tumblr so please don’t judge :)
WTF
Why does it appear that I don’t have the answer privately feature when it comes to responding to questions? Can anyone tell me how to enable this feature because I love to answer people’s questions but I respect that many people appreciate privacy and don’t want their business posted on someone’s blog. Help help, please?

Night Shift
Night shift can be a completely different ball game in comparison to day shift. The main differences are the crowd, the dancers, and even the earning potential sometimes.
Dancers:
First off, night shift will have anywhere from 12-35 girls on shift. In my club, you can expect at least 25 on those prime-time money making weekend nights. This means that there is serious competition. I think when...

Day Shift
Day shift in my club is from noon - 8 pm. Generally only 6-10 dancers get put on day shifts because its not busy enough during the day for more girls. As a result of less girls and less patrons than night shift, day shift is much more relaxed. Here are some of the benefits of working during day shift:
Less competition as a result of less dancers.
DJ is more flexible with music during the...
Day Shift vs. Night Shift
There are two main shifts in my club, and perhaps in many other strip clubs as well. There is day shift and night shift. My club also has what’s called a mid shift but I’m not sure how common that is in other clubs. It basically takes place right in the middle of a day shift and night shift and the only other difference is you pay double the amount for house and DJ fees. I want to talk...

Stripper Bag
Most, if not all dancers have a stripper bag. It’s where we keep all of our essential stripper gear items. A lot of dancers probably have the same types of items in their bag but I want to list my items:
Stripper Outfits - this includes thongs, booty shorts, sexy lingerie, corsets, dresses, swimsuits, and teddy’s.
Heels - black heels are generally what I keep on me even though the...

At-Home Gym
Fuck Yea. So I’ve been kind of bummed because I’ve been out of the gym for a while. The nearest gym to me is actually 30 minutes away and I’m guess I’m just a wee bit lazy. Well now I’m going to have a gym in my house! The utility room in my house will now be a little gym. It will be equipped with a bike, treadmill, and one of those multi-purpose machines. Now there...

I wonder....
Is exotic dancing the gateway drug of the sex industry?
It just seems like a pretty comfortable place to start and get a feel for what one’s limits are. I’d imagine other sex industry occupations such as webcam shows and peep shows might be a comfortable place to start for some as well. I had never imagined myself becoming an exotic dancer, but after I did I started thinking about...

WOA #3: Don't get wasted at work
Let’s face it, everyone has their limits. So no matter how much of a champ you are (or think you are) because of how much alcohol you can drink, it is possible for you to get too fucked up. It is not cute, nor is it safe to be piss ass drunk at the club. I’m sure you learned in high school about all the not-so-fun effects of alcohol such as impaired judgment, loss of balance, and...

WOA #2: ALWAYS go into work with a money-making...
I know that you’re probably thinking “well DUH, everyone should know this.” True, all dancers should know this but just because this should be the standard, doesn’t mean it’s always the case. It’s very easy to go into work and not be in a hustling mood. Maybe you’re not in the best of moods that day, maybe you’re feeling lazy, or you’re just...

Anonymous asked: I used to wanna be a stripper and I still have a lot of respect for them and like them veryy much :) but I was curious do you ever feel weird when you have a really old guy and he wants like a lap dance. I always wondered if it would be okay to be uncomfortable with doing that and just not. I also understand you can't be picky if you want the money, but I'm not talking looks so much as...

WOA #1: Leave no patron un-hustled
I know that un-hustled isn’t technically a word, but you catch the gist right? It basically means to hustle every patron that comes in the club. Maybe there are patrons you’ve had a bad experience with, heard bad stories about, or who just doesn’t like you for whatever reason. It’s okay to not try and hustle them because as I have asserted before, time is money and you...

WOA
I’ve decided to start up a new series on my blog called WOA, abbreviated for Word of Advice. They’re just going to be tips based on my own personal experiences, experiences from other dancers, and just based on observation in general. I’m still going to continue my stripper pet peeves though so no worries.
Anyways, look out for my first WOA post very soon!

SPP #41 - Packed club full of broke patrons
You know that whole “don’t judge a book by its cover concept?” Well it applies to many different aspects of the club. One (of many mind you) that really bothers me is the volume of a club. You’d think that more people = more money, and a lot of the time that is the case. Not always though and those shifts are such a let down. It’s especially worse when its on a...
